Most teenagers have enough trouble getting through school without spontaneously growing horns and breathing fire. Ruri Aoki gets both and is somehow expected to just carry on with her day. Ukupalua captures RuriDragon’s wonderfully weird balance between supernatural chaos and completely ordinary high-school life, with Ruri dressed in her school uniform, shoulder bag in hand, and a jagged burst of dragon energy crackling from her fingers. Her horns, sharp-toothed grin, windswept skirt and tie give the pose plenty of movement, while the exaggerated hair and playful expression keep the whole thing firmly in the series’ quirky style. The sculpt also includes alternate looks for Ruri’s distinctive two-tone hair, so you can lean into either version of her increasingly complicated dragon situation. It’s cute, chaotic, and just threatening enough for a girl who would probably rather finish school without accidentally setting anyone on fire.
