Description
Queen has a motorcycle for a Persona. That already tells you most of what you need to know about Makoto Niijima. Kuru Figure takes that particular bit of Persona 5 insanity and builds the entire display around it, pairing Makoto in her Phantom Thief gear with the massive Johanna rather than treating the bike like an accessory shoved into the background. Makoto stands beside her Persona with revolver in hand, armored corset and spiked shoulders giving her the wonderfully subtle aesthetic of someone who has absolutely finished asking nicely. Her mask, gloves, boots, flowing scarf, and the smaller suit details are all here, but Johanna is where this sculpt gets ridiculous—in a good way. Layered fairings, mechanical components, tires, handlebars, translucent blue flames and that enormous armored front end turn the bike into half the damn statue. The base leans even harder into Persona 5 with Makoto’s Confidant card, Priestess Arcana, Rank 9 graphics and UI-inspired shapes worked directly into the display. At 38 pieces, there’s a lot going on here, but it actually feels intentional: Queen gets the spotlight, Johanna gets to be the wonderfully impractical murder-bike she was always meant to be, and your display cabinet gets to figure out where the hell it’s putting a 32.8 cm-deep motorcycle. estimates calculated from the original dimensions and may vary slightly.
