About Us
From late-night resin failures to thousands of happy customers, Dungeon Master Minis grew from a hobby obsession into a full production shop for miniatures, statues, garage kits, and painted commissions.
From Etsy To Our Own Domain
Once upon a time — okay, 2022 — we ventured into the wilds of Etsy Marketplace armed with resin, printers, and an alarming number of late-night print failures. Somehow, that little shop grew to more than 2,000 sales and 800+ five-star reviews.
Eventually, Etsy’s ever-shifting algorithms and fees convinced us it was time to forge our own path. Now Dungeon Master Minis operates independently under our own domain, like the stubborn little nerd kingdom it was always meant to be.
You can still stroll down memory lane by visiting our old Etsy shop: DungeonMasterMinisUS.
A Garage, A Basement, And Too Many Printers
Our operation is as glamorous as you’d expect: a garage and basement filled with 3D printers, resin vats, post-processing gear, painting supplies, and a questionable amount of caffeine.
When my wife and I relocated from Las Vegas to Missouri so she could finish her nursing degree while we wrangled our two awesome kids, I needed to help replace lost income. The short-lived Etsy empire was born, then evolved into the full-fledged print shop you see today.
At any given moment, you’ll find filament printers, resin printers, processing stations, and a paint area all working overtime to keep the queue moving.
The Person To Blame
Hi, I’m Raphael — the one responsible for this wonderfully expensive hobby masquerading as a business.
My love affair with RPGs is older than some of the interns at Wizards of the Coast. Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Planescape: Torment, Diablo 1 & 2 — if it involved fantasy, monsters, or questionable life choices, I probably played it.
Somewhere along the way, that obsession evolved into Dungeon Master Minis. Today I personally handle the printing, post-processing, customer support, website development, and far more coffee than my doctor would recommend.
Because Buttons Make Terrible Ogres
Back in the early 2010s, a friend pulled me into a Dungeons & Dragons campaign and I was instantly hooked. Before long, I was Dungeon Mastering, building encounters, and orchestrating the occasional deeply educational TPK.
The problem? We had no miniatures. Buttons, coins, and random table debris became our brave adventurers and horrifying monsters. Functional? Sure. Immersive? Absolutely not.
I started with a Creality Ender 3 filament printer. It was, generously speaking, a character-building experience. After selling that disappointment on Craigslist, I discovered resin printing and never looked back.
Early resin minis looked great but were far too brittle for real gameplay. ABS-like resins improved durability, and flexible resin blends finally changed everything. By mixing flexibility with detail, we found the sweet spot: sharp prints that can better survive real tables, real hands, and the occasional gravity-based betrayal.
Because Details Matter
Meticulous Post-Processing
We don’t just pull prints off the plate and toss them in a box. Every piece is cleaned, checked, and fussed over before shipping.
Durable Resin Mixes
We blend resins for a balance of detail and durability, so your minis and kits are better prepared for real hobby use.
Quality Assurance
Thousands of past customers, thousands of shipped pieces, and a healthy obsession with catching problems before they reach your table.
Real Support
If something is wrong, contact us. You’re dealing with a real person, not a faceless warehouse or support bot named Steve.
