Fully Painted Commission Terms & Conditions

You're about to spend real money on something that won't pay your rent, but will absolutely earn its place on your shelf — and we take that seriously.

This agreement exists so expectations are clear, timelines are respected, and nobody ends up two weeks into a 4-6 month queue convinced they’re the chosen one who gets to skip the line.

Didn’t read it? Skipped straight to checkout? Still counts.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full — no exceptions, no loopholes, no “I didn’t know.” We made it stand out on the product page and made you click a checkbox for a reason.

TL;DR Painted Commission Rules

  • These are hand-painted, made-to-order commissions — not warehouse stock pulled off a shelf by a robot named Steve.
  • Shopify delivery estimates for painted orders are basically decorative. The real timeline lives here: Paint Commission Queue
  • Your order number is your place in line. The queue is the sacred timeline.
  • You can send paint references until painting begins. Once brushes hit primer, that train has left the station.
  • Production-stage cancellations may have fees depending on how far the order has progressed.
  • Once painting starts: no cancellations, no refunds, no “my cousin thinks purple would look better.”
  • Painted commissions are final sale.
  • If something’s wrong, contact us first before launching a chargeback like it’s a tactical nuke.
  • Chargebacks used to dodge agreed-upon fees or policies may be formally contested and pursued through small claims court where legally permitted.
  • If shipping decides to reenact WWE SmackDown with your box, contact the shipping carrier within 30 days. Orders are fully insured, and you’ll need photos of the damage, packaging, and shipping box for the claim.
  • Tiny specks invisible from normal viewing distance are not defects. Your shelf is not filmed in IMAX.
  • We paint tiny plastic people and monsters for a living. Patience keeps the quality high and everyone slightly less insane.

Full Terms & Conditions

Lead Times

Painted orders are completed in the order received, with roughly 2–3 commissions completed per week depending on complexity and workload.

Your order number is your place in the queue. Customers must review the official Paint Commission Queue for estimated timelines and order status updates: Paint Commission Queue

If the queue is heavily booked, timelines will extend accordingly. Painted commissions are handcrafted, made-to-order artwork and require substantial labor, scheduling, curing time, and production work.

Estimated delivery dates shown by Shopify, Shop Pay, Shop App, or third-party services are considered null and void for painted commissions, as those systems cannot distinguish between painted and unpainted orders. The Paint Commission Queue supersedes all automated storefront delivery estimates.

We are human, and occasionally things may slip through the cracks. If your order does not appear on the queue within 7 days of purchase, contact us immediately so it can be corrected.

Patience is part of the process. Attempting to rush commissions does not move orders ahead of other customers and may negatively impact production quality.

Artistic Interpretation

Painted commissions are hand-painted artistic works and may vary slightly from:

  • Reference images
  • Promotional photos
  • Digital renders
  • Previous commissions
  • Customer expectations not explicitly discussed prior to production

Minor artistic variation is normal and is not considered a defect.

Unless explicitly agreed upon beforehand:

  • Exact color matching is not guaranteed
  • Competition-level painting is not guaranteed
  • Free revisions are not included

If no paint instructions are provided, Dungeon Master Minis may complete the commission using artistic discretion.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Reviewing all listing information before purchase
  • Reviewing the Paint Commission Queue
  • Monitoring order-related emails
  • Checking spam or junk folders for notifications
  • Ensuring shipping information is correct
  • Contacting Dungeon Master Minis directly regarding concerns before escalating disputes

Failure to review timelines, descriptions, or policies does not void these Terms & Conditions.

Painting Instructions & Revisions

Customers may submit paint references, color schemes, or requests up until painting begins.

Once priming, painting, sealing, or finishing work has started:

  • No major changes
  • No redesigns
  • No color swaps
  • No cancellations due to artistic preference

Additional revisions beyond the originally discussed scope may incur additional charges and timeline extensions.

Approval Process

Once your commission is complete, final photos may be sent for review prior to shipment.

If no response is received within 48 hours, the order may be considered approved and shipped.

Customers are responsible for ensuring a valid email address is attached to the order. Missed emails caused by spam filters, invalid addresses, or ignored notifications remain the customer’s responsibility.

Minor imperfections not visible at standard display distance are not considered defects.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

All painted commissions are considered final sale due to the custom-made and made-to-order nature of the work.

  • No returns are accepted
  • No refunds are issued unless required by applicable law
  • Customers must contact Dungeon Master Minis regarding any issue within 30 days of delivery

Painted commissions are only moved into production when they are approximately 5–10 orders away from the active paint queue. This is done intentionally to allow customers time to review the queue and cancel prior to materials, machine time, and labor being committed.

Once an order status changes to “In Production,” the order becomes non-refundable and non-cancelable. At this stage, manufacturing resources and labor have been allocated specifically to your project.

Once painting has started, no cancellations or refunds will be accepted. Minor modifications or additional requests may still be accommodated at Dungeon Master Minis’ discretion, but may result in additional charges and timeline extensions.

Customers will receive multiple status notifications throughout the production and painting process through the order status page and email updates. Please monitor spam or junk folders and mark emails from Dungeon Master Minis as safe to avoid missing important updates regarding your order.

Refunds, replacements, or compensation will not be issued for:

  • Artistic style preferences
  • Minor paint variation
  • Minor imperfections normal to hand-painted work
  • Failure to review queue timelines
  • Delays within reasonable production timelines
  • Customer remorse
  • Incorrect assumptions about size, finish, assembly, or product type
  • Failure to read product descriptions, timelines, or paint terms before purchase

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers retain the legal right to file a chargeback or payment dispute for legitimate fraud or unresolved failure to deliver purchased goods.

However, chargebacks may not be used to bypass clearly disclosed policies, including:

  • Final sale terms
  • Queue timelines
  • Production timelines
  • Artistic variation
  • Labor costs
  • Material costs
  • Cancellation fees
  • Other agreed-upon checkout terms

Customers agree to contact Dungeon Master Minis directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so reasonable resolution can be attempted first.

Customers acknowledge that chargebacks generate non-refundable administrative fees and costs to the business regardless of dispute outcome.

If a chargeback is filed improperly, fraudulently, or solely to avoid agreed-upon policies or fees, Dungeon Master Minis reserves the right to:

  • Contest the dispute with supporting evidence including production records, queue history, tracking information, checkout agreements, and customer communication logs
  • Recover associated chargeback fees, administrative costs, and damages where legally permitted
  • Refuse or cancel current and future orders until all associated administrative fees, chargeback fees, or outstanding balances have been paid in full.
  • Pursue recovery through small claims court or other legal remedies where permitted by law

Shipping, Delivery & Damage Claims

Customers are responsible for ensuring shipping information is accurate at checkout.

If an address needs to be updated, customers must contact Dungeon Master Minis prior to shipment and verify the correction through their order status page. Due to high email volume and spam filtering, customers are responsible for following up to confirm changes were successfully applied.

If incorrect shipping information is not corrected before shipment, the customer will be responsible for any additional shipping, redirect, or recovery fees.

Shipping Delays & Import Fees

Dungeon Master Minis is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Shipping carriers
  • Customs processing
  • Weather
  • Holidays
  • Incorrect customer information
  • Carrier mishandling

Customers are also responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees required by their country.

Shipping Damage Claims

Painted commissions are fragile collectible items and are fully insured through the shipping carrier.

If shipping damage occurs:

  • Claims must be reported to the shipping carrier within 30 days of delivery
  • All packaging materials must be retained
  • Customers must provide photographs of:
  1. The damaged item
  2. Internal packaging
  3. External shipping box

Dungeon Master Minis may assist with documentation or repair recommendations where possible, but shipping claims are ultimately handled through the carrier.

Commission Availability

Commission requests are subject to review and approval.

Dungeon Master Minis reserves the right to:

  • Decline commissions
  • Close commission scheduling at any time
  • Cancel and refund orders prior to painting at our discretion
  • Require minimum order values for painted work regardless of item size

Orders that do not meet commission minimums may be canceled and refunded.

Refusal of Service

Dungeon Master Minis reserves the right to refuse or cancel service for:

  • Harassment or abusive behavior
    Fraudulent activity
  • Improper or abusive chargebacks
  • Threats toward staff or business operations
  • Repeated policy violations

If service is refused or communication is terminated after an order has entered production, all applicable production, labor, and material costs remain the responsibility of the customer based on the current stage of completion.

Dungeon Master Minis may document and provide production evidence, including photographs, status updates, production records, and work-in-progress images for legal, administrative, or chargeback dispute purposes.

Policy Updates

Dungeon Master Minis reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version active at the time of purchase shall govern the transaction.
