New beginnings

Embarking on the journey of transitioning over 1500 listings from our beloved Etsy store to our new Shopify platform has been nothing short of an epic undertaking. As a solo entrepreneur diving headfirst into the world of eCommerce, I've found myself juggling countless tasks, from product listings to SEO strategies and even deciphering tax responsibilities previously managed by Etsy.

The transition hasn't been without its challenges. Adapting to Shopify's platform and understanding the intricacies of SEO to ensure our store ranks well on Google has been a learning curve. Yet, every hurdle overcome is a step towards building a stronger foundation for our brand-new online venture.

In the midst of navigating these new waters, I've also been reflecting on the pace of our initial sales. While starting anew has meant a slower rhythm compared to our Etsy days, averaging 7-10 sales a day, I'm optimistic about the future. To inject some excitement and draw attention to our growing Shopify store, I've decided to paint up some of our miniatures and host a couple of giveaways. These initiatives not only showcase our products but also aim to reignite interest and drive traffic to our store.

As Dory famously says in Finding Nemo, "Just keep swimming." It's a mantra that resonates deeply as I navigate the complexities of this entrepreneurial journey. With persistence and dedication, I'm confident that our efforts will pay off, propelling us towards success in the competitive world of online retail.
